Thank God It’s Now!
TGI Now = Thank God It’s Now!
This phrase, slogan, and potential mantra combines two, powerful practices: Gratitude & Being Present.
Alone, either one of these practices can be utterly life changing.
Together, they create transcendent magic.
The practice of Gratitude reminds us of the multitude of blessings our life contains compared to the relatively small number of perceived hardships. Expressing gratitude actually changes our brain chemistry, reduces stress and can literally help lift a person out of the downward spiral of depression.
The practice of Being Present keeps our precious energy focused on the only thing we can actually affect: the present moment. The past is done and can’t be changed. And, the future is a theoretical projection that is typically different than we expect (or fear) it will be. The present moment, the small slice of time that is Now, contains peace, simplicity and clarity.
TGI Now is a reminder that the ideal time to be grateful is always Now. TGI Now is also a reminder that the ideal object of your gratitude is Now, this present moment.
Whether your Now contains difficulty or ease, pain or pleasure, if you can master the practice of being grateful in the present moment and FOR the present moment you will walk this earth with an unshakeable sense of joy and unlimited power.
How do I know this? By experience.
Being grateful for the present moment, TGI Now, has been a life-line for me as I have worked my way through challenging times, including depression. When I have been able to quiet my mind by being fully present and express sincere gratitude for all that is good, including the challenges, my power was restored and my joy was renewed.
TGI Now indeed!
